As a Senior Manager of Supply Chain Continuous Improvement at AEO, Inc., you will play a leading role in identifying, evaluating and implementing Lean/Six Sigma Methodology and enable Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that will: sustain, optimize and constantly enhance AEOs supply chain capabilities. You will work closely with AEOs Supply Chain/Logistics and Distribution Leadership Teams to develop and deploy new solutions to accommodate our growing global business. You will be responsible for translating ideas into tangible, innovative solutions and carrying out CI strategies across the supply chain and distribution network. Your efforts will promote out-of-the-box thinking and continuously generate new ideas to improve processes, service levels, efficiency, inventory and space, and cost which will have a direct impact on our customer experience. Your responsibilities include: Partnering with Supply Chain/Logistics and Distribution Leadership to own and deliver results in support of the Companys annual goals. Specifically, working with teams using CI/Lean tools and analytical skills to identify, prioritize and lead CI projects or activities. Mobilizing effective project teams; identifying key stakeholders and resources; communicating effectively across teams and groups; reprioritizing as necessary to address changes in the business and/or shifting needs. Providing thought-leadership while interpreting customer (internal/external) needs and requirements, translating concepts into practice, identifying process improvement opportunities and quantifying results. Leading and supporting initiatives that ensure the supply chain operates with industry best practices in the areas of Innovation, Efficiency, Customer Service/Service Level, Inventory Management and Quality. Enhance efficiency through deployment of lean methodologies, coaching and mentoring of team and associates, effective leadership of continuous improvement projects with exceptional data collection and visualization. Identifying, selecting, and leading projects which optimize customer satisfaction (internal/external) and improve AEOs supply chain KPIs. Benchmarking practices and procedures with other like companies to ensure competitiveness and best-in-class processes and operations; building continuous improvement initiatives for greater efficiency, cost-savings and to prepare for increased network and processing capability to support global business growth. Delivering results for each improvement project through your leadership and partnership with cross-functional teams and by working directly with various stakeholders across the Company. Partnering with the Supply Chain/Logistics and Distribution Leadership Teams and corporate support teams to develop baseline financial metrics to document savings of identified projects / initiatives. Inspiring superior performance through your leadership, role modelling, building positive relationships and influencing others effectively. Building and maintaining good relationships with all business customers, colleagues, vendors/partners and consultants. Effectively communicate and influence positive results. Other projects and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics and distribution, or related field; advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or equivalent preferred (or equivalent working experience). 10+ years of experience in supply chain/distribution management, extensive experience leading and/or participating in projects pertaining to supply chain/logistics or warehousing/distribution 10+ years of experience in a Retail, Supply Chain and Distribution and / or Manufacturing fields 5+ years of experience leading technical or project teams, with or without direct reports High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications and various analysis tools; must be highly organized, efficient with systems/data, with strong attention to detail Knowledge of supply chain execution systems including WMS, COFE, Qlikview, Tablaue, Tradestone, PKMS, Descart, etc. Experience with Lean Deployment, developing standard processes, writing procedures, mentoring, and training groups of associates PMP Certification; Lean / Six Sigma Training or Certification Strong project management expertise, with an emphasis on communication and building strategic relationships Ability to influence peers and senior management Strong analytical, prioritizing, social, problem-solving & planning skills Experience documenting/designing business processes, performing business analysis, and requirements definition Effective verbal and written communication; strong facilitation and oral/written communication skills Ambitious and driven; motivated by a dynamic environment Self-starter with a proven ability to handle multiple programs/ projects at once Formal training in change management methodology preferred About Us: American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO) is a leading global specialty retailer offering high-quality, on-trend clothing, accessories and personal care products at affordable prices under its American Eagle and Aerie brands.
